About the Founder
The MelaFemme Collective (TMC) was founded by Chloe Fasan, a passionate, enthusiatic networker who has always valued meaningful connections and spaces where women can unwind, recharge, and thrive especially after work and on weekends.
TMC was born from a vision Chloe first brought to life between 2015–2019 through the London Black Chicks Network (LBCN) which was a community that created safe, empowering spaces for Black women living in London.
LBCN’s very first event in 2015 drew over 100 RSVPs and welcomed 80 incredible women 🤩, proving just how much this kind of space was needed.
After taking time to focus on her career, Chloe returned in 2025 with renewed energy and a clear purpose to build on that legacy. With the experience, knowledge, and connections gained over the years, she believes TMC can grow into something truly powerful.
She’s excited to see what the future holds and even more excited to build it together.

Why “MelaFemme”?
“Mela” is inspired by melanin, a celebration of Blackness, culture, and beauty.
“Femme” is French for “woman,” representing strength, grace, and sisterhood.
Together, “MelaFemme” honours the power, essence, and brilliance of Black women.
TMC is a vibrant community of Black and mixed-Black women aged 25+ living in London and the surrounding areas. The collective absolutely love making the most of their evenings and weekends by trying new experiences together, collaborating on project passions and building genuine connections.
A typical TMC event ranges from hosting girls’ nights out and social mixers to fun out-of-the-box activities like perfume-making classes, go karting or attending third-party hosted events so they certainly know how to have a good time. The collective also understand the importance of prioritising mental health, fitness, and wellbeing, so TMC curate or attend events centred on self-care and work-life balance as well.
Whether you’re an introvert, extrovert, or ambivert, whether you’re an entrepreneur or a 9–5 working queen, this space is for you.
